Moorhead Police seize $20,000 of materials suspected to be fentanyl pills, marijuana, and methamphetamine

(Moorhead, MN) -- Moorhead Police say they have seized $20,00 of suspected drugs and arrested two suspects during a traffic stop.

The Moorhead Police Department says they conducted a traffic stop and vehicle search on I-94 on Tuesday. Moorhead Police Canine found 222 pills believed to be fentanyl, along with two pounds of separate substances believed to be marijuana and methamphetamine. 40-year-old David Keen Jr. and 25-year-old Samantha Riggles were arrested and taken to the Clay County Correctional Facility. Officials estimate the suspected drugs would be valued up to $20,000.

The Moorhead Police Department is requesting both Keen and Riggles to be charged with two counts of First Degree Controlled Substance Distribution and one count of Fifth Degree Controlled Substance Distribution.
