Local employers max out available space at first ever career fair hosted by Moorhead Career Academy

(Fargo, ND) -- The Moorhead High School Career Academy hosted it's first ever career fair and employers were lining up to meet the students. 

"For us it's the excitement of generating these private public partnerships and giving our students the opportunities that they will be able to provide and when you work with and when you work alongside folks in the private sector, you kind of get a taste of what they go through and we get to learn the industry, our kids get the opportunities and for me and for our district and for our focus that's what it's all about as we get kids prepared for life after graduation," said Moorhead Area Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Brandon Lunak.

Friday's event featured 33 area employers, the maximum number the space at the academy allowed for the event. 

Employers who participated included The City of Moorhead, Sanford Health, and Dakota Supply Group.

Dakota Supply Group was also named as a new academy corporate partner.
