(Fargo, ND) -- The FM Area Diversion Construction Project is releasing a construction update.

Builders just completed one of the largest concrete pours in the F-M Metro's history, placing the equivalent of 263 concrete mixing trucks and 2.3 million pounds of rebar for the foundation of the last remaining control structures. Some buildings are nearing the end of their construction, like the like the Wild Rice structure, which needs to complete the concrete bridge that spans the waterway overtop the flood wall.

Other projects that coincide with the overall FM Diversion include several of the main diversion channels, three aqueducts, spillways, and other structures.
