SWAT Team assists West Fargo police officers conduct "high-risk" search warrant

(Fargo, ND) -- Officers with the West Fargo Police Department, with assistance from the Red River Valley SWAT Team, executed a "high-risk" search warrant Thursday morning at 8:30.

It happened in the 200 block of 9 ½ Avenue W. 

Two adults were initially detained but no arrests were made.

A spokesperson for the police department says the SWAT Team used a "Flash Sound Diversionary Device (FSDD) to create a loud bang and flash of light in order to distract potential suspects to allow officers to safely breach the door."

No specific information is being provided regarding the reason for the operation. 

The search warrant is described only as being related to "an ongoing investigation".
