North Dakota BCI agent discharges firearm while conducting Fargo arrest

(Fargo, ND) -- A North Dakota BCI agent discharged a firearm while arresting a suspect just before 1:00 Tuesday afternoon in Fargo.

A representative for the Fargo Police Department says it happened in the 1400 block of 10th Ave. S. 

The department spokesperson says the Cass County Drug Task Force was involved, and describes the sting as a "critical incident". 

The person arrested was wanted on a felony warrant and their name has not been released. 

No one was injured in the incident, and no Fargo Police officers were involved. 

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the incident.
