Local veteran and activist fundraising to help Ukrainian families rebuild homes destroyed in war

(Fargo, ND) -- A metro area veteran and activist says he is raising money to give to help Ukrainian families rebuild their homes destroyed by the ongoing war in the country.

"The tanks came down from Belarus, tired to take the capital city of Kyiv, in the path is a town the size of Fergus Falls where 1,300 homes were destroyed. Well I know some folks up there. They're living like in fish houses kind of things, like storage units, maybe 80 square feet, and that's what they've had to move into," said Mark Lindquist.

Lindquist says his goal is to raise $125 thousand.

He says he wants to use 3D printing to reconstruct homes.
