FARGO-MOORHEAD – City officials have named the limits for certain items for Cleanup Week.
It’ll happen for those on the Week A schedule from Monday, May 4 to Friday, May 8 and those on the Week B schedule from Monday, May 11 to Friday, May 15. Fargoans can take household waste, furniture and up to two appliances to the Fargo Landfill at 4501 7th Avenue North for free during Cleanup Week.
Limits on certain items:
- Two appliances per household
- Up to four tires and rims will be collected per household.
- Logs and brush up to 10 inches in diameter will be accepted.
- Building materials such as wood and concrete will not be collected.
- Electronics, including televisions and computers, as well as household hazardous waste, including paints, stains and varnishes, should not be set out for pickup.
- One television and one computer per household per month may be disposed of at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, along with other household hazardous waste.
In West Fargo, Cleanup Week is from Monday, May 4 to Thursday, May 7.
Limits on certain items:
- Tires and appliances can be scheduled for collection all year long for a fee.
- Two Freon appliances will be accepted during Cleanup Week.
- All appliances must be empty and/or drained.
- Six tires are allowed per address; no tires on rims will be collected.
The West Fargo Transfer Station at 1620 Main Avenue West accepts all Cleanup Week products West Fargoans residents would like to drop off, in addition to dirt and concrete. Outside of Cleanup Week, there are fees for appliances, mattresses, and tires.
Cleanup Week in Moorhead is the first two weeks of May. If you are on A Week Recycling , your Cleanup Day will be on your garbage day the 2nd full week of May. If you are on B Week Recycling, your Cleanup Day will be on your garbage day the 1st full week of May. Oakport will be later in May, same as recycling days.
Limits on certain items:
- Tires will NOT be collected at the curb. Homeowners will need to dispose of them at retail tire stores or the Resource Recovery Center for a fee.
- Two appliances per household will be picked up free of charge. Remove refrigerator and freezer doors for children’s safety.
- No commercial waste will be accepted.
- Empty propane tanks will also be collected (valves need to be removed or a hole needs to be drilled into the tank).
Cleanup Week in Dilworth is Monday, May 4 to Thursday, May 7.
Limits on certain items:
- No tires.
- No commercial waste is accepted.
- We will pick up appliances and microwaves once a disposal fee is paid at City Hall and pickup is arranged. Disposal of appliances can be done anytime throughout the year. Contact City Hall with any questions at 218-287-2313.
- Residents can bring yard waste (leaves and grass only) to the southwest corner of the maintenance building at 600 Center Avenue West.
