(Fargo, ND) -- With 27% of all non-retired adults having no retirement savings, the personal-finance website WalletHub has released its report on 2022’s Best States to Retire, and North Dakota is near the top.
To help retirees find a safe, enjoyable and wallet-friendly place to call home, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 47 key metrics, including affordability, health-related factors and overall quality of life. North Dakota came in as the 6th best state on the list. Below are some of the top sub-categories the Peace Garden State finished well in:

6th – Elderly-Friendly Labor Market
30th – Property-Crime Rate
16th – Life Expectancy
8th – Health-Care Facilities per Capita
The number one state to retire in, according to the personal finance website, is Florida. The worst? New Jersey.
