(St. Paul, MN) -- A DFL proposed bill meant to help increase law enforcement recruitment efforts in Minnesota is facing obstacles.

The bill has stalled in the House after disagreements within the party over the public safety agenda. House Majority Leader Ryan Winkler says he is working on revisions to the measure.

A hearing on the bill before the House Higher Education Committee set for Tuesday was canceled as a result.
