(Minneapolis, MN) -- Talks on police reform are back underway between the city of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Department of Human Rights.

The department is working to negotiate an agreement with the city's that would require the police department to make specific changes to policies and practices. The consent decree would be enforced by the courts and overseen by an independent monitor.

Mayor Jacob Frey says he welcomes the chance to work with the state to "get this right."
