(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota State system of colleges and universities is pitching a tuition freeze in a bid for increased state funding.

Minnesota State system officials presented their case to lawmakers Wednesday.

The system is asking for an additional 350-million dollars in the next biennium. It's the largest increase the system has asked for in a two-year cycle.
