Cass County State's Attorney Kim Hegvik shares gratitude following General Election win

(Fargo, ND) -- Cass County's newest State's Attorney is sharing her immediate thoughts following her election win this Tuesday.

Cass County State's Attorney Kim Hegvik joined WDAY Midday to speak about election night and her plans moving forward.

"It was exciting to see that it was as close as it was and that Cass County recognizes that we are both qualified," said Hegvik, "I knew going in though that it was going to be a marathon, not a sprint."

Hegvik says there is much to learn as she goes into the position, but is excited to work with leadership across the state to build her skills. She attributes her win to hard work and effort put in by not only herself, but many other people who supported her throughout the process. She is excited to work in her new position as Cass County's State's Attorney.

"I'm just so honored...I will do as great of a job as I possibly can to not let the voters and not let Cass County down, "said Hegvik, "Thank you so much for the opportunity."
