North Dakota agriculture experts prepare for possible avian influenza outbreak into 2023

(Bismarck, ND) -- Experts are reminding North Dakota residents that the state is at risk for a resurgence of avian flu.  

Veterinarians say large migrating populations put backyard flocks in danger of contracting the virus. Producers are being encouraged to block access to wild birds and to make sure feed and water aren't contaminated. The current virus is an Euroasian strain that first moved to the U.S. last year.
