$6 Million to go toward repairing flood-damaged roads in North Dakota

(Bismarck, ND) -- The Federal Highway Administration is awarding North Dakota nearly 6-million dollars to fix roads recently damaged by flooding.

Senator John Hoeven serves on the Transportation Appropriations Committee in the Senate, and says the grants will help repair widespread roadway erosion and damage to culverts on state and county roads.

More than 4-million dollars will be used to repair damage from severe flooding that started in April of 2022, and 900-thousand will be for repairs to roads damaged by flooding caused by an above-average snow melt in 2023.
