(St. Paul, MN) -- The state is opening three new veterans homes.
The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs announced yesterday that the facilities are in Bemidji, Preston, and Montevideo.
One hundred and-98 veterans will be moving in over the next several weeks.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz says the state has close to 300 thousand veterans and more homes are going to be needed in the coming years.
