(Eagan, MN) -- The Minnesota Vikings didn't waste anytime finding Kirk Cousins' replacement.

The Purple traded for Cardinals starting quarterback Joshua Dobbs yesterday. Minnesota also received a 2024 seventh-round pick and sent a 2024 sixth-rounder to complete the deal. Dobbs and rookie Jaren Hall are expected to compete for the starting QB job after Cousins tore his Achilles tendon during Minnesota's win over Green Bay on Sunday. Dobbs has completed close to 63-percent of his passes for 1,569 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions in eight games this season. He also added 258 yards and three scores on the ground.

Minnesota also shipped guard Ezra Cleveland out to Jacksonville in exchange for a sixth-round pick.

The new-look Vikings visit the Falcons on Sunday.
