The Minnesota Lynx edged the Phoenix Mercury 88-84 on Tuesday night.
Six players scored in double figures for Minnesota led by 14 points and 11 rebounds from Natasha Howard. Kayla McBride also scored 14 points. Nia Coffey tallied 13 points and 10 rebounds while Olivia Miles added 13 points, six rebounds, and seven assists. Courtney Williams and Emma Cechova chipped in 11 points apiece.
The Lynx shot 50 percent from the field while also knocking down 37 percent of their three-point attempts and hit 71 percent from the free throw line.
Minnesota improved to 1-1 on the young season. The Lynx will return to the hardwood on Thursday night in Dallas to battle the Wings with a 7 p.m. tip-off along with full game coverage being available on Prime Video.
