Larry Knutson has broadcasted local athletics on the radio since 1975. Additionally, he has been the voice of Moorhead High athletics since 1979. Knutson announced his retirement after 51 years of broadcasting local athletics on the radio in mid-April.
Moorhead Area Public Schools has announced an open house retirement party for the Hall of Fame broadcaster. On May 6, 2026, Knutson’s retirement party is planned to be hosted at the MAPS District Operations Center.
The open house will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The retirement ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
