Much needed rain or a near miss??

It’s been DRY lately, but, that doesn’t mean we are in drought conditions.   With all the wind lately, and more to come, we could use some moisture to help out with everything from crops to gardens to our landscaping.

Today is a top 10 day with light winds and sunny skies and temps in the upper 70s.  It doesn’t get much better than that.   The next few days (Thursday and Friday) look WINDY with winds gusting out of the south on Thursday upwards of 40+mph and out of the west on Friday 45+mph.   It looks mainly dry through Saturday so if you have any weekend plans, try and get them in on Saturday as Sunday looks wet.

How wet will it be on Sunday?  Looks like showers will pull in from the south by lunchtime and continue through the afternoon.  There will be another storm quickly on its heels on Monday spreading rain across the area.  How much rain?   Let’s take a look at a few of our different models:

Most models painting at least 1″ of rain across all of the area.  One thing for certain is it WILL rain but there is about a 30% chance the 2nd storm on Monday glides to our south and misses the Valley.   I believe a general 1/2″ to 1″ is likely by Monday evening.   Let’s hope it’s a good drink of water across the area!!!
