FARGO – Thousands packed the green space between Fargo City Hall and the Fargo Civic Center on Saturday for a No Kings Rally.
“Like everywhere across the nation, our Fargo-Moorhead event was a rally of love of country, not hate,” spokesperson Lyn Dockter-Pinnick said.
Officials say the low estimate of the crowd was 3,500 – but those that packed the area behind the library told organizers that the crowd was potentially over 5,000 people. They ‘came with positive signs’ and many with inflatable costumes ‘to demonstrate how non-threatening that they were.’
Speakers included the president of the North Dakota AFL-CIO, a community activist and Ukrainian immigrant, the Advocacy Manager for the ACLU of North Dakota and the president of the West Minnesota Labor Council.
The event in Fargo was one of thousands across the country.
