GRAND FORKS — Crews put out a fire at the landfill in Grand Forks this morning.
According to city officials, the solid waste landfill has now reopened after the blaze, but the inert landfill remains closed. Windy conditions hampered the fire fight, with winds gusting to near 30 miles an hour throughout the morning hours in Grand Forks, according to the North Dakota Agriculture Weather Network site in Grand Forks.
There’s no word on what caused the fire.
