Twins blow ninth inning lead in rubber match loss to Mariners

The Minnesota Twins collapsed in the ninth inning of their 5-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday afternoon.

Taj Bradley gave up two runs over seven innings of work in a no-decision. Anthony Banda tossed a scoreless inning out of the bullpen. Eric Orze gave up three runs in the ninth while only recording one out and was tagged with the loss. Taylor Rogers picked up the final two outs in relief.

Brooks Lee paced the offense with two RBI. Victor Caratini chipped in an RBI in the game.

Minnesota fell to to 13-18 on the season

The Twins will now welcome the Toronto Blue Jays to Minneapolis for a four game weekend series beginning on Thursday with first pitch at 6:40 p.m. and game coverage available on Twins.TV. Bailey Ober will be on the mound for Minnesota while Kevin Gausman counters for Toronto.
