(Moorhead, MN) -- Another update has come in on a story that has rocked a community in South Moorhead.

The Moorhead Police Department has confirmed to WDAY Radio that with the assistance of employees of Masonite International, Receia Kollie's 2016 black Honda Pilot was located Wednesday in Wahpeton.

Kollie is the women who authorities say was stabbed to death by her son, James Kollie Jr, in her home in South Moorhead last week.

"The Moorhead Police Department thanks the media, our law enforcement partners, and the public for their help in communicating the information and finding the vehicle," said Police Captain Deric Swenson in a statement released to WDAY Radio. "The vehicle has now been secured by law enforcement and will be transported to the Minnesota Bureau of Apprehension for processing. The vehicle's contents, including any evidentiary items, are currently unknown."

How the suspect arrived at the Maytag Home Laundry mat in Wahpeton is still unknown. Moorhead Police are continuing to ask the public in the Breckenridge and Wahpeton area to check their property for any suspicious items the suspect may have left. You're asked to check for any video that may have captured Kollie Jr. during the afternoon of December 1st and through the evening of December 2nd, when he was apprehended.

Anyone with further information is asked to call the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at (701) 451-7660 and ask to speak to the on-duty Moorhead Police Supervisor.
