(West Fargo, ND) -- The West Fargo City Commission is committing to fight a pair of book banning bills if they pass.

The commission voted Monday night to support the public library as they join with other North Dakota communities to argue against the bills.

The two bills propose significant changes to how the public libraries operate in the state.

Commissioners say the bills would require the library to put up physical barriers and check IDs to enter certain parts of the collection.
