(Hennepin County, MN) -- Hennepin County Sheriff David Hutchinson is facing four charges in connection with a crash last week.
The Douglas County Attorney's Office announced late last week that Hutchinson will be charged with driving while impaired, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of point-oh-eight within two hours, and carrying a pistol under the influence of alcohol. Hutchinson admitted to drinking and driving while in a county-owned vehicle near Alexandria last Wednesday morning before he was involved in a single-vehicle crash.
If convicted on the weapons charge, he could lose his right to carry a handgun for a year.
