(Minneapolis, MN) -- Teachers in one of the largest school districts in the state are walking out.

Minneapolis teachers start their strike Tuesday and all classes are canceled. Union leaders announced the strike Monday evening, saying they haven't been able to reach an agreement with the district.

St. Paul Public Schools will be in session after the district reached an agreement with the teachers union late Monday.

Teachers unions in both cities are asking for higher wages, smaller class sizes, and more mental health supports for students.
