(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota Department of Health is urging vaccinations for children after a case of measles was diagnosed in the Twin Cities.

The agency says the one-year-old child was unvaccinated and recently traveled outside the U.S.

It's the first case in the state since 2022.

State health officials say the measles vaccination rate for two-year-olds has dropped since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and was below 80-percent last year.
