Twins take rubber match from Angels

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Twins are headed to the playoffs. Minnesota beat the Angels on Friday to clinch the AL Central title.

After losing on Saturday, the Twins scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull away from the Angels in a 9-3 victory at Target Field yesterday. Max Kepler and Ryan Jeffers each hit two-run home runs in the inning, and Jorge Polanco also went deep in the victory. Joe Ryan earned his 11th win after striking out ten and allowing three runs on seven hits in six innings.

Bailey Ober starts for the 83-73 Twins against Oakland tomorrow.
