University of North Dakota sophomore forward, Jackson Blake, has been named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference’s (NCHC) Player of the Month for March.
He totaled an NCHC-high 13 points in March, averaging 1.63 points per contest on four goals and nine assists. He recorded at least one point in all eight games the Fighting Hawks played in the month. Blake ended the season on an 11-game point streak. In 40 games during the 2023-24 campaign he tallied 60 points on 22 goals and 38 assists.
Additionally, Blake has been named one of three Hobey Baker Award Hat Trick Finalists.
He is the seventh player in program history to be a finalist for the award and the third in the past five seasons. The Eden Prairie, Minn., native helped North Dakota secure their fourth Penrose Cup in the past five seasons and sixth overall in the 11-year history of the NCHC. Blake was named the NCHC Player of the Month twice this season, while also earning the NCHC Player of the Year honors.
The award will be presented on Friday, April 12 2024 at the NCAA Frozen Four and will air live on NHL Network beginning at 5 p.m.
